Let's get better together!

Opportunities to give presentations are coming your way! Get ongoing speaking tips in my Present Like a Pro group on Facebook and share them with the presenters in your life.

Authenticating It's hard to be natural. Pretense is great when appropriate, but give me unadorned authenticity any day. Watch this off-the-rails interview, as Conan O'Brien chats up actor, Sean Hayes. If the host wanted to use talking points, he gave up halfway through the intro.

Always try to "program" spontaneity into your speaking, writing and posts. Anticipating I can't wait to read Daniel Kahneman's new book, Noise, cuz, who can't use more decision hygiene?" Co-authored by Olivier Sibony and Cass Sunstein, the book explores what gets in the way of consistent and fair decision making. Kahneman won a Nobel Prize for uncovering the cognitive biases a while back. I refer to the biases (video) a lot when doing sales coaching. Augmenting When the pandemic closed my gym, it forced me to get creative about keeping fit. Now the gym is open again, but I still do glute-bridges before getting out of bed.

If you must know, I do squats when brushing my teeth (10) and stand on one foot while putting on socks and shoes. #balance Here's how to drink 48 ounces of water per day (video).

Appreciating - There's difference between sympathy and empathy. One is much better for you and your relationships. Read more in my latest blog post.
