For years, I've used a simple giveaway at the end of presentations to get speaking gigs from self-identifying prospects. You can do the same!
Here's the sequence:
Do an excellent job delivering solid content in an original way.
"Trial-close" the audience by asking if they enjoyed your presentation.
Tell them that you are interested in "coming back to town" within 90 days.
Offer to give away something (preferably your info products).
Tell them that you'll trade them their email address for a chance to win.
Have them write "biz" on their card if they show interest in hiring you.
Collect the cards and do the giveaway.
Follow up by phone after the program.
Ironically, #8 is the most important step and the one that most speakers fail to execute.
